Kyle Golf Course, Lochcarron Golf Club, Isle of Skye Golf Club
STOP PRESS The Golf course in Kyle of Lochalsh is now open again.
Kyle Golf Course June 2008
The course is also worth a visit as a wildlife sanctuary. Otters, deer, mink, herons, oystercatchers and curlews are daily visitors in season and the good news is that a new group has been formed to reinstate the course to prime playing conditions. The course WAS nine-hole with a couple of the tees requiring basic rock climbing skills, however the views here are second to none with the Skye Bridge adjacent and the Black Cuillin hills opposite. As soon as we have an update ... we will post news here!

Golfing on the Isle of Skye
The Isle of Skye Golf Club is located at Sconser (centre of Skye about 10 miles from Portree and 20 miles from the Skye Bridge) and has to be one of the most scenic courses anywhere! You can walk along the beach between tees and look across to the Isle of Raasay or up at the Red Cuillin or Ben Tianavaig.
It is a nine hole course with "3 shared tees, holes 4 and 13, 6 and 15, and 9 and 18, the other 12 holes have individual tee placements on the front and back 9 holes, creating a different approach and length second time around, giving more of an 18-hole feel to the layout."
The course is open all year. Visitors are most welcome.
To book (especially at weekends) please email info@isleofskyegolfclub.co.uk The club will normally reply within 24 Hrs. For complete hole descriptions and scorecard please see the comprehensive website at www.isleofskyegolfclub.co.uk
